All of us here on Alt.NET Seattle organization team are looking forward to the 2011 AltNetSeattle Conference. Response to the conference has been gratifying and we are looking forward to meeting you all in Redmond on May 5-8th .

In the meantime, please go back to the conference web site to view the latest agenda and scheduling information. If you use Twitter, you might choose to follow the conference persona: and use our hashtag on Twitter and Flickr is #altnetseattle  The latest schedule for the OpenSpace event will be posted on the website. Additionally, session details, notes and resources can be found on the Alt.Net Seattle Wiki http://altnetseattle.pbworks.com/. Session conveners, please make sure that a designated note-taker is designated for your session. Remember, no notes, no photos, your sessions didn’t happen!

We have arranged for wireless Internet access in the classrooms and networking areas. You should bring along a laptop if you can.  While the conference center has promised us lots of electrical outlets, bringing a power strip of your own is one sure way to make friends quickly.

The conference takes place at the Digipen Institute of Technology, located 9931 Willows Rd NE, Redmond, WA.  If you are staying at the Hotel Sierra Redmond, distance to Digipen is 1.6 mi. Parking at both Digipen and Hotel Sierra is free. Please feel free to dress casually and comfortably …. after all, it is the weekend! Remember this is spring in the Pacific Northwest, so weather can be unpredictable with ‘normal’ lows in 40’s and highs in 60's this time of year.

Your participation matters – please come prepared to ask questions, to question some answers and to share your experiences. Each presenter has been asked to leave lots of time for questions and discussion. Be sure to leverage these opportunities. Come with an open mind and keep a list of action items and ideas to consider once you return to the real world.
